Clayfield College have scooped both Open and A Grade competitions at the recent QGSSSA Artistic Gymnastics Championships.
In a remarkably close Open Division, Clayfield’s gymnasts had a strong final rotation to pip reigning champions St Aidan’s AGS, with Moreton Bay College finishing third.
Gymnasts thrilled onlookers across the four apparatuses, showcasing their high level of skill throughout the competition.
The top scoring Open gymnasts for each apparatus were as follows:
Vault: Georgia Gullo (St Aidan’s AGS)
Bars: Kirsten Burger (MBC)
Beam: Madison Thompson (Clayfield College)
Floor: Abbey Scott (St Aidan’s AGS)
Brisbane Girls Grammar School had a very successful competition, taking home the B Grade, C Grade, and D Grade (i) and (ii) pennants.
St Margaret’s AGS Year 7 gymnasts beat fourteen teams to emerge winners of the very competitive Year 7 division.
