QGSSSA Representative Team Trials

Selection trials for the 2016 QGSSSA Representative Football, Netball and Tennis teams got underway in Term Two across Brisbane.

Girls from all ten QGSSSA schools were invited to trial across the three sports to be contested at the annual Interstate Challenge tournament, this year to be contested at Monash University in Melbourne during the September school holidays.

The tournament sees the elite girls’ school sport associations from Eastern Australia come together to vye for the Interstate Challenge Cup, previously the Tri-State Cup.

South Australia’s Independent Girls School Sports Association (IGSSA SA) will join the expanded competition for the first time in 2016, alongside Girls Sports Victoria (GSV), New South Wales’ Independent School Sports Association (IGSSA NSW) and Independent Sporting Association (ISA), and QGSSSA.

Overall results from the three sports are combined with the most successful school overall crowned the Interstate Challenge winner.

The Interstate Challenge runs from 24th – 25th September 2016, as hosted by GSV at Monash University, Clayton.
