The final week of Term 3 sport culminates Thursday with the 2020 QGSSSA Track and Field Athletics Championships at the Queensland Sports and Athletics Centre (QSAC).
In a year like no other, a return to sport for all girls has been the focus with careful planning in place to get Association sport up and running.
For the first time since 2004, the event will be held next door in the main stadium at QSAC in order to meet the stringent requirements of being ‘COVID Safe’ whilst also not losing the event’s standing.
All regular events with the exception of high jump will proceed. A schedule of events with further information, including live results throughout the day, can be found on the Athletics page.
A live stream of events will be available in lieu of allowing spectators into the venue. Details of how to access the stream will be communicated within QGSSSA school communities.
The Courier Mail will be covering the day with live updates throughout highlighting results and records.
The Association looks forward to welcoming all competitors, staff and officials to QSAC on Thursday.
