Rhythmic Gymnastics at QGSSSA
Rhythmic Gymnastics has been captivating audiences since it became an official QGSSSA sport in 1978.
This breathtaking discipline combines artistry, technical precision and athleticism, as gymnasts perform dynamic routines with ball, hoop, clubs, rope, ribbon and freehand.
Competition Format
Held as a one-day championship in Term 3, the competition features students performing in groups or pairs, showcasing elegance, coordination and control.
Open to athletes of all levels, Rhythmic Gymnastics provides an inclusive environment where students can refine their flexibility, creativity and teamwork, whether they are seasoned competitors or first-time performers.

In 2025, QGSSSA proudly celebrates 47 years of Rhythmic Gymnastics, honouring the dedication and passion of generations of athletes who have brought beauty and brilliance to the sport.
