Acknowledgement of Country
The Queensland Girls’ Secondary Schools Sports Association (QGSSSA) acknowledges the Traditional Custodians of the lands on which we gather, compete, and celebrate sport across South East Queensland. We recognise the Jagera, Turrbal, Yugambeh and Quandamooka peoples as the First Nations custodians of these lands and pay our respects to their Elders past and present.
We honour the enduring cultural and spiritual connections that Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples have with Country and acknowledge their significant contributions to sport and community. QGSSSA celebrates the power of sport to foster inclusion, promote reconciliation, and create opportunities for all.
