The QGSSSA is thrilled to announce the addition of esports to its sporting calendar from 2026 — marking a bold step forward in expanding inclusive, contemporary sporting experiences for students.

This innovative initiative has been approved by the QGSSSA Board as part of a broader commitment to inclusive and future-focused participation, aligning strongly with the Association’s Strategic Plan priorities of Innovation, Participation and Leadership.

In partnership with Queensland Esports, QGSSSA will deliver two professionally managed, one-day QGSSSA x QE esports events in 2026 — offering students a high-quality, engaging platform to explore teamwork, competition and emerging career pathways in the digital arena. 🎮✨

– Friday 5 June 2026 – St Margaret’s AGS
– Friday 23 October 2026 – St Margaret’s AGS

Further details regarding titles, competition structure and rules will be released in early 2026.
