The QGSSSA Representative teams have enjoyed their best result ever, finishing third overall at the recent 2017 Interstate Challenge.
Individually, the QG Tennis team finished second, the Netball team third and the Football team fourth in their respective competitions.
These results combined to put the Association third overall, just one point behind second placed Girls Sport Victoria and one and a half points ahead of fourth placed Independent Sporting Association (NSW).
New South Wales’ Association of Heads of Independent Girls’ Schools (IGSSA NSW) won the overall competition scooping two of the three sports while South Australia’s Independent Girls School Sports Association finished fifth.
Competitors endured hot conditions at the University of Queensland where the championships were hosted and even a storm during the Opening Ceremony, giving visiting states a real taste of typical Queensland spring weather.
Full results including final scores for all three sports can be found here.
QGSSSA looks forward to hosting the event again in 2018 on the Gold Coast.
